Earlier this week, beMedTech announced through a press release that the sector it represents in Belgium says “no” to the sponsoring of individual healthcare professionals for their participation in conferences. In this way, beMedTech wants to ensure that the choice of a medical device is based on objective criteria. This is an ethical principle. As the most vocal advocate of ethics and transparency in the Belgian healthcare sector, Mdeon welcomes ethical principles. However, ethical rules must remain realistic and workable. If not, they risk not being respected.
