We are pleased to present you our new urgency procedure.
It may have already happened to you that -for any reason- you were unable to submit a visa application (V1 or V2) in time. This can be very unpleasant.
To respond to that, Mdeon adopted an urgency procedure. This new procedure means that you can submit a visa application (V1 or V2) using a shortened deadline of 2 working days prior to the first day of the scientific meeting, provided that the visa application is submitted not later than 12:00 (noon) on the second working day before the start of the meeting. The decision of the Visa Office will then be sent no later than the last working day before the start of the scientific meeting (midnight). A motivation why you are invoking the urgency procedure must not be provided.
For example: if the scientific meeting starts on Thursday December 17, the visa application must be submitted by Tuesday December 15 at noon at the latest. The decision of the Visa Office will then be sent to you on Wednesday December 16 by midnight at the latest.
To use the urgency procedure V1, tick the last option in section A.7.1 in the visa application: “The shortened period of at least 2 working days as it conerns an urgent procedure, knowing that the visa application must reach the Secretariat before 12:00 pm on the second working day preceding the day of the start of the scientific event.”
To use the urgency procedure V2, click on the red link in your account: “Visa Application – Urgency Procedure“.
In view of its exceptional character and the very urgent treatment by the experts of the Visa Office, the cost per submission is € 1.050 (excluding VAT).
We would like to emphasize that the normal submission deadlines (15 and 6 working days) remain the rule and the urgent procedure only the exception.
